Stereo camera is installed on car rooftop with suitable parameters for depth imaging. Depth images are computed in real-time from raw stereo images and visualized using pseudo-coloring. Depth image based object detection is prototyped, where ROIs are estimated from targets above ground level with sufficient point mass. Same algorithm is tested also in home surveillance setting on the backyard to detect people.
